Maximum Drawdown

1 min. readlast update: 05.12.2026

Your account equity may never fall below a defined threshold from the initial account balance, regardless of any profits earned in between.

This is a hard, permanent drawdown cap.

The rule:

  • Includes floating losses
  • Applies continuously
  • Never resets
  • Cannot be exceeded at any moment

If account equity falls below the maximum drawdown threshold, the account is permanently breached.

Example

Initial Account Balance: $100,000
Maximum Drawdown Limit: 10%

Maximum permitted loss:

  • $10,000

Minimum permitted equity:

  • $90,000

If equity drops below $90,000 at any point, including through floating losses on open positions, the account is immediately terminated.
